ADHD and Autism Screening Consultation

ADHD & Autism Screening Consultation

Why consider a screening?

You might be curious whether ADHD or autism traits play a role in how your mind works. A screening consultation is a gentle, exploratory step — not a formal diagnosis. It helps us see which direction might be most useful for you, and whether a full assessment could offer deeper clarity.

What to expect

BWhat to expect

Before our consultation

I’ll ask you to complete a few questionnaires in advance: about ADHD traits, autism-related tendencies, and emotional or mental health. These are normed and compared to other groups of people. These give me a starting point (your perspective) — not definitive answers.
I’ll review your responses before we meet, so our time together is focused and meaningful.

Our 45-minute screening session

In that meeting, we’ll:

  • Explore your results and what they suggest (but not treat them as definitive)

  • Talk about what’s going on in your life, your strengths and challenges

  • Consider whether a full assessment would help you — and what that might involve

  • Discuss alternative explanations (e.g. stress, overlapping conditions)

  • Share with you a copy of your results and offer reflections on how they relate to broader patterns (with sensitivity to comparative norms)

I want you to feel included in interpreting what the results mean.

What this screening isn’t

  • It does not provide a diagnosis

  • It’s not a complete picture; many factors influence traits (environment, fatigue, mental health, life context)

  • It’s a guide, not a judgment

Only a full, in-depth assessment can support formal diagnostic decisions — and then only as one piece of the story.

Pricing & insurance

The screening consultation fee is £100, using standard, reliable screening tools.
If you later decide to proceed with a full assessment, I offer a £100 discount on the fee.
If you have health insurance (e.g. Bupa), I can bill the insurer directly (pending their approval). If paying privately, bank transfer is accepted.
